18th International Biophysics Congress 2014
The Australian Society for Biophysics and the International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) invite you to attend the 18th International Biophysics Congress (IBC), which will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia 3 – 7 August 2014. IUPAB 2014 will feature an outstanding scientific program and a stimulating social program. The Congress will feature outstanding scientific and social programs, and provide a unique opportunity to visit Australia. Brisbane is located in the heart of Australia’s premier tourist region, which includes outstanding beaches as well as World Heritage sites such as the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, and Fraser Island.
Biophysics in Australia and New Zealand is a particularly strong discipline, with world-leading research programs and outstanding facilities. There is a diverse range of biophysical activities being undertaken here in Oceania, and many of the organising team have extensive experience in organising and running top quality international and national scientific meetings in Australia.
Brisbane is located in the heart of Australia’s premier tourist region. From some of the best beaches and rainforests to the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage landmarks like Frazer Island, delegates can make the 2014 Congress a trip of a lifetime. Some Young Scientist Travel grants will be awarded, with preference given to applicants who are attending one or more of the satellite conferences. The application form for these grants is available on the IUPAB website under “Forms” in “About us”.

Travel Grants and Fellowships
IUPAB offers substantial financial support to young scientists (both students and postdocs) to assist with expenses to attend the 18th International Biophysics Congress. These grants are primarily intended for young researchers such as PhD candidates, usually up to 30 years of age, and preference is given to those from developing countries.
