Biomolecules and Nanostructures

Early Bird Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline: 31 March 2019

The 7th edition of the interdisciplinary conference “Biomolecules and Nanostructures” is to be held in Pomlewo near Gdansk, Baltic coast, starting on May 15th 2019 in the evening and ending on May 19th in the morning (Wednesday to Sunday). The key topics of the conference cover current subjects on the crossroads of molecular biology, physics and chemistry, including biomolecules, nanostructures, nanomachines, and biosensors.

The specific topics of “Biomolecules and Nanostructures 7” in 2019 will include: intrinsically disordered proteins, protein folding, assembly of protein complexes, aggregation, interactions between nucleic acids and proteins, dynamics of biomembraness, hybrid structures, and phenomena at bio-nano interfaces. and other issues related to molecular biophysics and biochemistry, both experimental and theoretical. Many well-known scientists have agreed to give invited talks, as listed at: http://www.nanofun.edu.pl/bionano7/invited-speakers.html

The deadline for registration, abstract submission, and making payment for lodging and the conference fee is March 31, 2019. The conference is organized by the Institute of Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and the Committee of Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences, under the auspices of the Division of Physics in Life Science of the European Physical Society.

The conference will take place in a small village of Pomlewo (pronounced Pomlevo) in the very picturesque Kashubian Lake District. You will also have an opportunity to visit Gdansk on the way in or out. We are considering arranging for a several-hour-long trip to the 13th-century castle in Malbork (paid by those who want to participate). This lovely castle was built by the Teutonic Order as their capital (Ordensburg Marienburg). The driving distance from the airport in Gdansk is about 30 km. One can take a train from Warsaw or Poznan to Gdansk. We shall provide the group transportation to Pomlewo from Gdansk airport and from Gdansk main train station.
