NERKA 10 Biophysics School

International Biophysical School “Academician Radoslav K. Andjus” (NERKA) was established in honor of Professor R.K. Andjus (1926-2003), an internationally recognized scientist from the University of Belgrade, a member of Montenegrin and Serbian academies of sciences and arts, and one of the founders of the Institute for Marine Biology in Kotor.

The international scientific meeting 10th International Biophysics School “Academician Radoslav K. Andjus” (NERKA 10), will be held from 1 to 5 September 2026 in Kotor, Montenegro. The University of Belgrade – Faculty of Biology is the co-organizer.

The NERKA School has a long tradition and brings together prominent international researchers in the fields of neurobiology, biophysics and neuroimmunology. This year’s meeting will be dedicated to the topic “Dynamic interplay between the nervous and immune systems in neurodegeneration”, with a special focus on biophysical-chemical and innovative approaches.
