Human Heart Tissue Forum, Heron Island, Queensland, Australia, August 2014

Following the 18th IBC to be held in Brisbane, Australia in August 2014, the Human Heart Tissue Forum will be held on Heron Island on the beautiful Great Barrier Reef from August 8 – 12.  Since 1989 the Sydney Heart Bank (SHB) has continued to build a large (>25,000 samples) collection of human heart tissues. Over this 25-year period, about 70 research groups have accessed this bank of tissue, and over 60 publications have arisen.

The main purpose of this satellite meeting is to facilitate the personal exchange of research data between as many users of the SHB as possible.
