For the first time, Uruguay has been chosen by the Latin American Federation of Biophysical Societies (LAFeBS) to organize the above course. It is supported by IUPAB, and will be held in the beautiful city of Salto which is on the Uruguay River, fifteen miles from the border with Argentina, and is well known for its famous hot springs and thermal water theme parks.

Immediately following POSLATAM on November 26-29 there will be a joint Scientific Meeting of the Argentinean Biophysical Society (SAB) and the Biophysics Branch (SBF.uy) of the Uruguayan Society of Biosciences.
